ALTA SOFTWARE JOINS HANDS TO SHAPE THE FUTURE OF AI IN VIETNAM AT THE FIRST VIETNAMESE STUDENT ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE OLYMPIAD

The first Vietnamese Student Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (OlpAI’25) is an in-depth academic competition in artificial intelligence for students from universities and colleges nationwide. OlpAI’25 marks a new milestone in the system of academic competitions developed and organized by the Vietnam Informatics Association over more than three decades, alongside prestigious contests such as the Vietnamese Student Informatics Olympiad, Procon Vietnam, and ICPC Asia. These competitions have not only attracted large numbers of students from higher-education institutions nationwide but have also helped identify and nurture many IT talents now working at leading technology enterprises and corporations in Vietnam and abroad.

In its very first edition, the Vietnamese Student Artificial Intelligence Olympiad attracted nearly 200 students, forming 59 competing teams from a wide range of educational institutions across the country. Teams competed through practice-oriented AI challenges that required not only solid theoretical foundations but also the ability to analyze data, build models, and deploy solutions in modern computing environments.

The competition took place from December 8 to December 12, 2025, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), as part of one of the largest academic and technology activity series for students during the year. With a well-structured organization and a high level of technical depth, OlpAI’25 has been recognized as a new academic platform that contributes to promoting AI learning and research within the Vietnamese student community.
